He was born on October 4, 1876, in the tranquil village of Pasianwala near Narang Mandi, Punjab, in the heart of British India. This is the same village to which my ancestors once belonged. When the river Ravi changed its direction and inundated this beautiful and flourishing village, my forefather Fazal Din, along with his family and other villagers, were compelled to relocate.
